Lily

Inspired by the work of the Pre-Raphaelites, Bill Viola and Jenny Saville, Lily’s practice presented the figure through painting, photography and text. The main photography shoot that drove the project forward took place in a reservoir in West London, where lily created an alternative space that hovers between the conscious and unconscious, with the photographs and subsequent drawings and paintings having an eerie but also nostalgic quality.

Lily was also short-listed for the prestigious Sovereign Art Prize in London 2020 with her dramatic black and white photo that is otherwordly.
