“Reflecting on this project’s origin in comparison with the final outcome, I feel that the idea of ‘anti-camouflage’ morphed into an exploration of urban dystopia, as the focus of the photoshoots became more about their eerie nature and less about the subject in contrast to its mundane surroundings. I have surprised myself with the organic evolution of the project. Anti-camouflage is far from the way I first envisioned it, but the fundamentals have been preserved throughout.”
