Barbara

Inspired by artists such as the painter Marlene Dumas and photographer John Coplans, Barbara investigated ideas of the body and portraiture through life-drawing and photography. With a pared-down palette the work that closely scrutinises the abstracted shapes and folds of the body, has a reflective and sombre quality to it.
